ADC Austin will be conducting the following pre-conference training classes on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at the Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter.  The Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter is the scheduled site of the 3rd Annual Plex and 2E Worldwide Users Conference scheduled to take place September 20 - 21, 2007.  Each of these full-day classes is free with your conference registration and requires a laptop with wireless internet access.  To register for the conference, please go to 3rd Annual CA Plex/2E Worldwide Users Event.  To sign up for a class, please send an email with your contact info and the name of your requested class to Plex2E@ca.com.

Session AA — CA Plex for CA 2E developers (morning)
Session AB — CA Plex Web Client (afternoon)

2E and Plex share a common ancestry as model based development tools. This makes Plex an easy choice for 2E developers who are searching for a more modern development tool and for expanded platform options. Both similarities and enhancements like patterns will be explored, as well as automated migration options. This session is a combination of presentations and a hands-on lab. In the lab session, participants will migrate a 2E model to Plex, and will work with the new Plex 6.0 tool to build applications.

The afternoon session is appropriate for both morning session attendees and for people who are experienced Plex users. Lab participants will deploy a Plex model in different configurations. The server tier will be deployed to C#/SQL Server using the new Plex 6.0 .NET features. The client tier will be generated for both standard client-server and for the new Websydian/ADC Austin Plex Web Client. The Plex Web Client is an exciting development that will allow Plex developers to deploy both existing Plex and migrated 2E applications to the internet without application changes.

Session BB — 2E Web Option (all day)

This is the quickest and easiest way to extend your 5250 applications built using 2E to the web, with little or no knowledge of web programming technologies. The CA 2E Web Option has evolved and is an excellent choice to instantly modernize your 2E applications. This session will provide hands-on instruction on using the Web Option environment to browser enable a 2E application model.
