Using the Add-In feature in Plex

How many times have you become frustrated by having to find and run that .EXE that you have been developing? Or by having to open up Internet Explorer to run your Websydian Application?

Why not add it to your Plex Tool Bar?

This feature was added in Plex 4.5.  It allows developers to add shortcuts in their Plex environment to access frequently needed programs.

I find it very useful to be able to have shortcuts in my Plex tool to start my applications from during development.

Simple steps to add shortcuts

Go to the Tools Menu and select Edit Add-Ins.

Click on the New Add-In Button.

Add the name of the Add-in, use the browse to find the command, add any parameters, and add an Icon.

Once you have done this you can right click on the toolbar and select the Add-ins.  They will then appear in the toolbar.

Test your shortcut.
